
About Erick Miranda
Dr. Erick Miranda is a multi-instrumentalist, concerto competition winner, arranger, composer, music educator, and music engraver based in Long Island, NY and is proficient in myriad styles of music. After receiving his D.M.A. in music performance and pedagogy from the University of Colorado Boulder, he accepted the role of founding music director at KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy in Denver Colorado. His current appointment is Quality Control Musician at D’Addario Woodwinds in Farmingdale, NY. Notable teachers include Dr. James Bunte, Dr. Greg Riley, Rick VanMatre, Tom Myer, and Jerry Bergonzi. Dr. Miranda also holds a master’s in music performance from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, and a bachelor’s in music performance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Erick’s most recent project is his debut album titled “Contrasts” which consists of four original transcriptions of pre-existing works throughout different periods in history. The album released Dec. 1st, 2023, on Teal Creek Records.
